When I first had the idea to start a podcast I went to one of my good girlfriends Neda Kalantar. Neda and I had bonded over reality TV since she was robbed on Big Brother Canada season 2 about six years ago. For the first time through our long distance friendship we were finally living in the same city and watching our favourite TV shows together. We would sit literally for hours talking about Vanderpump Rules and the Bachelor Canada. We then decided to record ourselves and BOOM, THYRST was born.

There was a lot of learning curves with THYRST. I produce and edit each episode myself while co-hosting. It was a lot, everything from logo design to podcast uploads was powered through my fingertips. What was just a fun passion project with a girlfriend became a potential business. When launching a business there was a lot to balance. I had endless ideas, some were realistic while others were straight up impossible. This past year I tried a variety of different formats and approaches to our podcast and through this process I learned a shit ton. While it was frustrating not having things click at times, the amount of knowledge I have gained in this past year has been invaluable.

In 2019 THYRST is shifting gears from a podcast to a live-stream interactive talk show on Twitch. I am beyond excited and there is a great team behind making this happen. Joined by weekly guests the THYRST duo will spill some tea and play some drinking games. The stream will be the place for influencers and reality TV personalities to quench their THYRST.

For those of you who have been loyal to THYRST and have travelled with us on this wild first year, THANK YOU! I am grateful for your support and feedback every week. I have to give a huge shout out and thanks to Neda for her patience and being a ride or die throughout this journey. THYRST is coming back hot in 2019 and I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you guys!
